Running in Kyoto

There are two places in central Kyoto that I found good for running: the grounds of the Imperial Palace (aka Kyoto-gyoen) and along the Kamo river (aka Kamogawa).




Running in Tokyo

Like any big city, Tokyo has its ups and downs when it comes to running. It’s hard to run in any city unless it’s very early in the morning and of course it’s mostly pavement. For our 2023 trip, we stayed in the Asakusa section of Tokyo. So there were two places I ran:
